Ingredient notes
- Unsweetened plant milk: any type of unsweetened dairy-free milk will work, such as almond milk or oat milk, but soy milk is my favorite one for this recipe.
- Apple cider vinegar: you could also use white vinegar or lemon juice instead.
- Vegan mayo: I do recommend you make your own mayo following our recipe (it’s so easy to make!), but you can also use it store-bought.
Dietary variations
- Make soy-free: use soy-free plant milk and vegan mayo.
- Make it nut-free: use nut-free plant milk.
How to make vegan ranch
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Then refrigerate your vegan ranch for at least 30 minutes and serve immediately.
How to store
- Fridge: keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Is ranch vegan?
Traditional ranch dressing is not vegan, as it is made with buttermilk, mayonnaise, and/or sour cream.
Serving suggestions
Feel free to serve your dairy-free ranch dressing with potato chips, Buffalo cauliflower wings, or crudités such as celery sticks, carrots, or any other veggies you like.

Vegan Ranch
Ingredients
- ¼ cup unsweetened plant milk, I used soy milk
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup vegan mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, or ¼ teaspoon dried dill, chopped
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Use it with potato chips, Buffalo cauliflower wings, or crudités like celery sticks, carrots, or any other veggies you like.Â
