If you're busy and looking for a quick and easy dessert, this simple vegan chocolate pudding if for you! You just need to blend all the ingredients in a food processor or a blender, that's all! It's ready in less than 5 minutes and is also super healthy.
Here are the ingredients you're going to need: banana, avocado, unsweetened cocoa powder, rice milk (or any plant milk of your choice) and maple syrup (or any other sweetener). I also added vanilla extract, but it's optional. Add your favorite toppings, I added coconut whipped cream and caramel syrup.
Healthy food is so easy and make you feel amazing. There are so many delicious guilt free desserts you can make in less than 5 or 10 minutes and they will nourish your body.
Although you can use any sweetener you want, I recommend you to use a liquid sweetener like maple or agave syrup, homemade date syrup or any molasses. If you use other sweeteners like sugar or stevia, add more bananas or avocado if your pudding is not creamy or more milk if it's too thick.
Have you tried the coconut whipped cream? I LOVE it! It's the best cream I've ever tried and is really easy to make. Only 2 ingredients needed! Store bought vegan whipped cream is okay, but this homemade coconut whipped cream tastes amazing and is healthier.
Feel free to add other toppings like chocolate syrup, maple syrup, chopped fruits, nuts, seeds or chocolate chips.
This recipe yield 2 servings, so is perfect if you have a sweet craving and you're looking for a healthy dessert just 2 people. Sometimes is hard not to eat the whole dessert if you make more servings, that's why I love this recipe so much!

Wow, this is amazing! The recipe is so easy and so delicious! Have been missing good chocolate pudding since switching to a vegan diet.
Was wondering if there’s a way to thicken it up just a bit more to use as pie filling?
Elizabeth says
Tastes like yummy chocolate pudding! Convenient when I don’t have silken tofu. Going to dip strawberries tonight!
Iosune says
Hi Elizabeth! SO glad you enjoyed it 🙂
cazzie says
would it still work with half the amount of maple syrup?
Iosune says
Hi Cazzie! I think it should work, just add more milk if needed 🙂

This pudding is awesome! So easy to make and so nutritious! I recently started getting into smoothies and plant based foods but have been missing that something sweet every now and then! This is perfect especially since I love chocolate! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this simple, yet delicious recipe. I had to make this at the last minute for my dairy, egg and gluten allergic 5 year old’s class party and she loves it. I could never get her to eat avocado before so this makes it even more perfect in my book!
Iosune says
Hi Mom! You're so welcome 😀 So glad to hear that. Have a nice day!
Jade says
Should the milk be unsweetened?
Iosune says
Hi Jade! I usually use unsweetened milk, but it's up to you 🙂

Is the banana optional? Because in the original paragraph listing the ingredients, it doesn't mention banana:
"Here are the ingredients you’re going to need: avocado, unsweetened cocoa powder, rice milk (or any plant milk of your choice) and maple syrup (or any other sweetener)."
Iosune says
Hi Joana! I forget to mention the banana, I'm so sorry! But if you don't like banana, you can omit them and add more avocado or less milk 😉
Nirvikalpini says
Great recipe - I used soya milk as that is all i had. Also put it into the freezer and it made delicious chocolate ice cream !
Iosune says
Hi Nirvikalpini! Thanks a lot 😀 I've never made ice cream using this recipe, thanks for the idea 😉
Pri says
i tried this but the pudding became watery!
Iosune says
Hi Pri! I'm so sorry the recipe didn't work for you 🙁 Try to add less milk or more banana!

Hi Sarah! Thanks a lot 😀
Jess says
This looks SOOO good, but I'm allergic to avocado :'( Do you think I could sub it for another banana?
Iosune says
Hi Jess! You can add another banana and maybe 1 or 2 tbsp or any nut butter or even nuts or seeds 🙂
The Vegan 8 says
Looks so good! Oh wow this totally reminds me of the chocolate pudding I saw on Minimalist Baker awhile back where she used both an avocado and banana..I was so intrigued because I had seen avocado chocolate pudding and banana chocolate pudding, but never both combined! Only difference is she also added peanut butter. I actually can't stand bananas, but I love avocados, but for some reason I have not liked avocado puddings because I always taste the avocado....I'm super picky, but I'm thinking with all that cocoa powder and syrup, it would help! Looks super yummy!
Iosune says
Hi Brandi! I LOVE both!!! They're my favorite fruits!! I also like the avocado pudding, but you need to add more cocoa powder and sweetener or you taste the avocado, that's why I add the banana 🙂
Michelle @ Boards&Knives says
Oh my goodness! Thank you! I can't even make a non-vegan pudding (I don't know why, I always mess it up) and now you've got a vegan version that I'm sure I can do! I love how you're using avocado - that's a great idea. Your blog is great as well, I will be following you for certain!
Iosune says
Hi Michelle! Thanks a lot for your kind words 🙂 This pudding i soooo easy to make and tastes like heaven 😀

charlotte says
I'd say that recipe makes one serving. Just sayin'
Iosune says
Hi Charlotte! It depends on what you eat or your taste, for me the whole recipe is too much because is so sweet. Have a nice day!
