This turmeric latte is a great healthy alternative to coffee. It's delicious, cozy, creamy, and made with 4 ingredients in 5 minutes!

Now that fall is finally here and the cool weather is slowly coming, I feel like having more warm and cozy drinks. And lately, I've been obsessed with turmeric latte! I promise it's the most comforting beverage ever and it tastes SO good!

In addition, this recipe only requires 4 ingredients and is ready in just 5 minutes, so you can make it even if you're in a rush. However, if you really want to enjoy an extra-creamy latte, I do suggest you use a milk frother to make it. You'll be blessed with such a foamy, comforting texture!

How to make a turmeric latte

  • Pour the plant milk into a saucepan and cook over high heat until it’s hot, but don’t bring it to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat, add all the remaining ingredients, and stir until well combined. I used a milk frother for the best creamy, foamy texture.
  • Serve your turmeric latte immediately.

Ingredients and tips

  • Unsweetened plant milk: I used almond milk because it's my favorite plant milk for this recipe.
  • Turmeric powder.
  • Ground cinnamon.
  • Maple or agave syrup: feel free to customize your turmeric latte recipe with any other type of sweetener.
  • You can serve this turmeric latte for breakfast with a couple of vegan peanut butter cookies to make it even cozier.

Turmeric latte benefits

Turmeric is a wonderful spice, so incorporating it into your diet can be a great idea. Among other turmeric latte benefits, you'll find that it can reduce inflammation, help with digestion, and lower cholesterol levels.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened plant milk, I used almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon maple or agave syrup
Prevent your screen from going dark

Instructions

  • Pour the plant milk into a saucepan and cook over high heat until it’s hot, but don’t bring it to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat, add all the remaining ingredients, and stir until well combined. I used a milk frother because I absolutely love a super creamy, foamy, and cozy latte, but that is optional. You can also blend the hot plant milk with the rest of the ingredients in a blender, but using a frother is easier, cleaner, and faster.
  • Serve your turmeric latte immediately. I love to have it for breakfast with a couple of vegan peanut butter cookies to make it even cozier.
  • Keep the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat on the stovetop or the microwave until warm enough.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your turmeric latte with pretty much any sweetener you like.
  • I used almond milk because it's my favorite plant milk for this turmeric latte recipe, but you can use other kinds of milk, such as cashew milk, soy milk, rice milk, oat milk, coconut milk, or even hemp milk.
  • If you use sweetened plant milk, omit the maple or agave syrup.
  • Turmeric is a wonderful spice, so incorporating it into your diet can be a great idea. Among other turmeric latte benefits, you'll find that it can reduce inflammation, help with digestion, and lower cholesterol levels.

This was delicious, without any added sweetener. I did add some black pepper, and liked the spiciness, but I'm curious - how much pepper should you add to aid curcumin absorption?

    Doesn’t it need pepper?

Hi Linda! It's a good idea to add some pepper because it enhances curcumin absorption in the body by up to 2,000%, but I prefer to omit it because I don't like the taste. However, it's up to you 🙂

Hi! I love golden milk and have been drinking it for weeks because of it’s inflammatory properties. I absolutely love the taste now! However I must warn you that turmeric (Curcumin) is hard to absorb and absorbs poorly without adding black pepper ! Have you read about that? Just wanted to let you know 🙂 also I’ve read to add a fat as well like coconut oil.

Delicious. Wish I had made it when I first heard about. Full of anti-inflammatory goodies. Comfort in a mug.

This isn’t first time having/making a turmeric latte but I can easily it’s the best one! Not only does it LOOK amazing and totally instagram-worthy(I had to snap a few picks) but it tastes delicious. I pretty much followed the recipe but I used honey instead of agave or maple syrup. I also blended the ingredients because I didn’t have a lot of faith in my mixing abilitis and I think the choice to blend is what made mine frothy too even though I don’t have a milk frother! Anyway, I LOVE this recipe and recommend it to everyone. It’s easy and delicious!!

I usually add a dab of butter. Once boiled with all the stuff, I let it sit for a minute then whisk it before I pour in cup and sip my Turmeric Latte. I only add black pepper when I have a cold no sugar.
