Banana milk is a delicious beverage perfect for hot weather. It's packed with lots of nutrients and vitamins, and it's also very healthy and not expensive at all. It's so refreshing and great to have on a summer evening.

This milk is only made with fruit and water, so it's a very good option for those who don't or can't eat nuts. Besides, it's SO good and full of flavor, and it's a great way of incorporating more fruit into your diet.

I added some dates for a sweeter flavor, but you could change it and use a different kind of sweetener, or none at all. You can even customize your milk with ingredients like vanilla extract, cinnamon, or spices.

To make this banana milk you only need a blender and 5 minutes of your time. Serve it cold and drink it for breakfast or also as a healthy snack and enjoy an amazingly good and different plant milk!

How to make banana milk - Step by step

Step by step photos of how to make banana milk
    • Put all the ingredients into a blender (photo 1) and blend until well combined (photo 2).
    • Serve immediately and enjoy it cold or at room temperature.

    Pro tips

    • Add more or less water depending on how thick you want your banana milk. I usually add 2 cups of water (500 ml).
    • Bananas and water are the essential ingredients of this recipe, so you can omit the others or add different ones, such as nutmeg or cocoa powder.
    • Feel free to substitute the 2 Medjool dates for 4 Deglet Nour dates. You can also use any other kind of sweetener.
    • Blend some ice with all the ingredients to get an even more refreshing drink.
    • Add some vanilla extract, ground cinnamon or other spices to customize your milk.

How long will this banana milk keep?

It's better to drink it immediately, but you can also keep the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Remember to shake the bottle before you serve it so all the ingredients are well combined.

    How to use banana milk

You can use it in baking, incorporate it in your oatmeal, and even in your vegan hot chocolate to give it a delicious taste. Feel free to drink it for breakfast or have it as a light dessert or even as a snack. It's so creamy and refreshing!

Can I use plant milk to make banana milk?

Yes, you could change the recipe and replace water with any kind of plant milk. Feel free to use almond or oat milk, or any vegetable milk you have on hand. Go ahead and get creative!

Hello! It depends on what you want to cook or the flavor you prefer. In my opinion, soy milk is one of the most similar to cow's milk. But, for example, if you prefer to add creaminess to your recipe, coconut milk is the best one. Oat milk is the sweetest one,...

I used 2 cups of water instead to make it a little thicker, 3 bananas, 5 dates & cinnamon. It wasn't bad.

Now that they are adding nasty calcium to everything I will have to make almond milk at home.

Hi Briana! I've never tried it myself, but I think this milk works best when it's cold 🙂
