How to make pineapple salsa - Step by step
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl (photo 1) and mix until well combined (photo 2).
- Serve immediately at room temperature or refrigerated.
Pro tips
- Feel free to use other veggies, fruit or ingredients, and to add more or less of them depending on how you like your salsa.
- Omit the jalapeño if you don’t like it. I used fresh jalapeño but you can also use the canned ones (in that case, take a look at the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t have any additives). Another good option is using chili pepper or any other kind of chili.
- Lime juice can be replaced with lemon juice and cilantro can be substituted for parsley or some other herb.
How long will this pineapple salsa last?
You should eat this pineapple salsa immediately or refrigerate before eating it. It will last 3-4 days in the fridge and I wouldn’t recommend you keep it for more time because all the fresh ingredients could lose their properties.
Can I make this pineapple salsa with tomatoes?
Yes! Tomatoes work great with this recipe, as well as plenty of other fruits and vegetables. You can customize it however you want! I’d recommend you use fresh fruit, though, as it tastes better.
What to serve with pineapple salsa
This pineapple salsa goes with almost every Mexican recipe, but it’s also a good option for other dishes. You can eat it with vegan tacos, vegan burritos, or even with baked tortilla chips. You could also use this salsa to accompany seitan or any other meat substitutes.

I'll try this as it looks good, but you forgot to include amount of pineapple to use in the list of ingredients. I use many of your recipes as a new vegan and I appreciate the simplicity and taste of all of them. Thank you so much for having this blog.
