How to Make Juice with a Blender

Natural juices are full of nutrients and they're great to cleanse and detoxify your body. I only made juice with citrus fruits until I bought a cheap juicer about two years ago. It was really small and handy, but it didn't work very well, I only could use fruits with a high water content and it was impossible to make green juices.

If you don't want to invest in a good juicer, you can make juice with a blender, it's really easy and you only need a blender (I use my Vitamix blender, I love it!!!), a nut milk bag (you can also use a cheesecloth or a napkin) and a bowl.

To make the juice you just need to blend your fruits and veggies in the blender with some water, place the nut milk bag on the top of a bowl and pour the juice through it. Squeeze with your hands until all the juice is in the bowl.

Although is really easy to make juice with a blender, I recommend you to buy a good juicer if you're going to make juices very often and you can afford it.

Store-bought juices are full of sugar, additives and preservatives and they're not healthy at all, even if they're made with fruit they're pasteurized, so almost all of their nutrients are gone. Make natural juices at home, there are thousands of recipes you can try! Don't forget to leave a comment or tag a picture #simpleveganblog on Instagram (or other social network) if you make this juice, it's really delicious!

If I need a cup of ginger juice and don’t want to dilute it with water and recipe also requires a cup of lemon juice .... can I use a ninja blender .... peel the ginger and add the already squeezed lemon juice, instead of water, to juice the ginger. Then perhaps squeeze through cheesecloth in order not to dilute the ginger? Wanting the ginger juice without having to buy expensive juicer.

Do you peel the orange prior to putting it in the blender?
