Detox smoothie #vegan

New Year's resolutions are full of good intentions, we wanna be healthy and fit, lose some weight and detox our bodies. This detox smoothie can help you to achieve your goals, it's really detoxifying, low in calories and taste amazing.

I could drink smoothies all day long, I would be happy! I'm always trying new ingredients and recipes. This is the first time I've used cucumber to make a smoothie and I love the taste!

Smoothies are so satisfying and healthy, you can drink them for breakfast or when you want, you'll feel better and they can help you to lose weight and clean your body.

All fruits are very detoxifying, so feel free to change the ingredients if you want. You can also drink other smoothies (you'll find more recipes on the blog). Coconut water is also a great choice or even orange juice, you can use them instead of the water, your smoothie will taste better and also will be more nutritious.

If you use organic cucumbers, you don't need to peel them. I use a non organic cucumber, that's why my smoothie is yellow, if you don't peel the cucumber, I guess your smoothie will be green. Eat organic fruits and vegetables if you can afford them, but if you can't, don't worry, animal foods have higher concentrations of pesticides, so eat green!

This smoothie has a strong flavor because of the lemon, so probably you'll want to add any sweeter. If you can't find dates in your country, they are expensive or you don't like them, you can use stevia, maple or agave syrup, sugar, molasses or your favorite sweetener.

This detox smoothie is delicious, seriously, but if I don't like cucumbers, add more pineapple or dates. You can also add leafy greens or celery to make it even more detoxifying. If you make this recipe, please leave a comment or tag a picture #simpleveganblog on Instagram or any other social network, we love to see your pictures and comments, it makes us very happy!

Wow! I am making smoothies quite a bit now. Woke up this morning and I wanted a detoxing smoothie. Found this and just made it with a few modifications. I added spinach and oranges. I did half a cucumber nonorganic. Can't taste the cucumber at all. Oh yeah, added about 1/2 cup of apple juice (mostly b/c I had these and wanted to use them...and I can and it my business..lol) Only use 7 dates. Need to cut my sugar intake. Thank you and will look at other recipes.

I haven't made this yet. However, I have been doing daily green smoothies for years and suggest using green tea instead of water or juice. I place a pitcher in my fridge with 8 tea bags and leave it over night. I then remove the bags and have enough green tea for several smoothies.
    Happy Blending!

Love this smoothie! Switched it up a bit-used 4 dates, added a cup of parsley, a bit of cayenne and ginger for digestive fire and sore muscles. Thanks for sharing!

Do you have to drink all 4 servings immediately or does it hold nicely in the fridge?
