Detox smoothie #vegan

New Year's resolutions are full of good intentions, we wanna be healthy and fit, lose some weight and detox our bodies. This detox smoothie can help you to achieve your goals, it's really detoxifying, low in calories and taste amazing.

I could drink smoothies all day long, I would be happy! I'm always trying new ingredients and recipes. This is the first time I've used cucumber to make a smoothie and I love the taste!

Smoothies are so satisfying and healthy, you can drink them for breakfast or when you want, you'll feel better and they can help you to lose weight and clean your body.

All fruits are very detoxifying, so feel free to change the ingredients if you want. You can also drink other smoothies (you'll find more recipes on the blog). Coconut water is also a great choice or even orange juice, you can use them instead of the water, your smoothie will taste better and also will be more nutritious.

If you use organic cucumbers, you don't need to peel them. I use a non organic cucumber, that's why my smoothie is yellow, if you don't peel the cucumber, I guess your smoothie will be green. Eat organic fruits and vegetables if you can afford them, but if you can't, don't worry, animal foods have higher concentrations of pesticides, so eat green!

This smoothie has a strong flavor because of the lemon, so probably you'll want to add any sweeter. If you can't find dates in your country, they are expensive or you don't like them, you can use stevia, maple or agave syrup, sugar, molasses or your favorite sweetener.

This detox smoothie is delicious, seriously, but if I don't like cucumbers, add more pineapple or dates. You can also add leafy greens or celery to make it even more detoxifying. If you make this recipe, please leave a comment or tag a picture #simpleveganblog on Instagram or any other social network, we love to see your pictures and comments, it makes us very happy!

It seems like a lot of sugar from the dates and pineapple. How will this affect blood sugars ?

If you want to watch your blood sugar then you can add leafy greens. My body cannot handle all of that sweet fruit, so I would choose to delete the dates and pineapple and use a lower glycemic choice such as green apples. Can add ginger root as well to increase circulation and warmth in your body. Many times,I can't eat the sweet fruit so I use tomatoes, peppers lots of lemon or lime to downplay bitter greens. I domes add cukes , spinach, kale. Keep fruits and veggies separate. Greens are a category unto themselves. Other low glycemic fruits are different berries. To your health.

Hi I need some help. I have to have a colonoscopy soon. They gave me a prescription for peg Lyte but I cannot take it, it makes me vomit, do you have any safe, natural recipes that I could substitute?

Senna tea from your health store will clean you out just great and is completely natural. Take at bedtime and stay near your bathroom in the morning until it's work is done.

This sounds like such a delicious smoothie (: Do you use medjool dates and do you need to soak them prior to blending? And also - are you using just the lemon juice or do you put the entire lemon in the blender - rind and all?
Thank you; I love your photos and recipes. Keep up the hard work!

I just made a half recipe of this drink but used canned pineapple. It's delicious. I used Medjool dates also. My drink looks more brown in color. It tastes delicious. Next time I'll try making it with mango's also.
