Hi, I'm Iosune Robles!

I'm the co-founder of Simple Vegan Blog together with my husband Alberto. I'm also a home cook, recipe creator, and the voice behind the blog.

I've been following a plant-based diet for over 12 years and started this project in 2014 to share how easy and delicious vegan cooking can be.

I'm based in Spain, where I live with my husband and our two kids.

More about my journey

In 2013, Alberto and I switched to a plant-based diet. Back then, there wasn't much information, and most recipes felt too complicated or used hard-to-find ingredients. That inspired us to start Danza de Fogones, which is now one of the top vegan food blogs in the Spanish-speaking world. A year later, we created Simple Vegan Blog to share easy, fun, and flavorful plant-based recipes with a global audience.

Since then, I've developed and tested hundreds of vegan recipes using everyday ingredients and approachable flavors. I focus on creating recipes, writing, and staying in touch with my readers, while Alberto takes care of photography and the technical side of the blog.

In 2016, I earned a Health Coach certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I've also taken cooking classes during my travels around the world, exploring new cuisines and techniques that continue to inspire my recipes.

I'm the author of Cocina Vegana Gourmet, a vegan cookbook published in Spanish where I share simple and flavorful plant-based dishes for everyday cooking. I've also published several eBooks in both Spanish and English, featuring easy, delicious recipes for everyday life. With over a decade of experience in vegan recipe development, my goal is to help others discover how enjoyable and satisfying plant-based food can be.

Inside my kitchen

I've always loved food and come from a family of great cooks - especially my grandmother and aunt, who inspired my passion for cooking. Since my mom wasn't big on it, I started experimenting early on, learning from family recipes, books, and cooking classes during my travels.

My cooking philosophy is simple: plant-based meals can be easy, affordable, and full of flavor using everyday ingredients. I love creating recipes that show how satisfying and fun vegan food can be.

I'm especially obsessed with tofu dishes like Marry Me Tofu and General Tso Tofu, but I also have a soft spot for desserts - Vegan Apple Crumble and Vegan Peanut Butter Cookies are always on repeat at home.

Plant-based cooking isn't hard - once you get started, you'll find tons of tasty recipes to explore. And I'm always here to help with tips and ideas whenever you need a little inspiration!

When I'm not cooking, you'll find me traveling, reading, or spending time with my family.
