Baked chips, crispy, flavorful, and healthier than the store-bought ones. They are free from additives and preservatives and require only 3 ingredients!
I sometimes like snacking. What I don't like, though, is how most of the snacks you find at the grocery store are packed with artificial additives and preservatives. So I decided to make my own baked chips at home, and the result didn't disappoint at all!
They turned out super crispy and with a wonderful flavor, and are actually made with only 3 simple and inexpensive ingredients. These baked potato chips are one of the most original snacks you can offer to your guests and are ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients and tips
- Potatoes: to make these baked potato chips I used Yukon gold potatoes, but pretty much any type of potato will do (russet, Idaho, sweet)
- Extra virgin olive oil: I’m Spanish, so I use extra virgin olive oil to cook most of my dishes. However, any type of oil will work. I always use extra virgin oils when possible because they’re healthier.
- Salt: I used ionized salt, but these chips will go well with any type of salt.
- You can customize your baked potato chips with your favorite spices, such as ground black pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, chicken seasoning, poultry seasoning, or even Italian seasoning. Add them before baking, along with the oil.
Are baked chips healthy?
Yes, these oven-baked potato chips are way healthier than regular chips, because they don't contain artificial additives or preservatives and are not fried.
