Natural immune boosting shots | simpleveganblog.com #vegan #glutenfree

I share a new recipe every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but yesterday was not my day. I've sprained my knee, so I couldn't publish this one. ? I'm sorry for the inconvenience! It's not a serious thing, so I'm here again to share with you my simple, healthy, vegan recipes, because it's really easy to be vegan and also to follow a healthy diet, you can do it too!

It's cold season and there are a few things you can do to boost your immune system, like eating healthy, exercise or taking an immune boosting ginger shot, which is a bomb because of its taste and the ingredients you need to make it. They're alcohol-free, super healthy and taste much better than alcoholic shots!

Ginger shots | simpleveganblog.com #vegan #glutenfree

You just need a juicer (or a blender) and 4 ingredients (apple, lemons, ginger and turmeric) to make these easy peasy shots. They're perfect to prevent and treat colds or even the flu and they're also a great natural anti inflammatory remedy.

Cheers! To your health!

Tips:

  • You can also use ground ginger and turmeric. Make the juice using only the apple and the lemons, pour it into a jar, add the ground ginger and turmeric and stir.
  • There are other ingredients you can add like cayenne powder (which is great to get rid of mucus), other fruits or leafy greens.
  • If you don't have a juicer, place all the ingredients in a blender, add some water and blend until smooth.

Thanks for the juicer/blender tips. I dont know what to buy for my homemade ginger shots. Blender or juicer? Are there any cold press machines on the market?

Hi Jonathan! You're so welcome 🙂 I prefer to use a juicer, but you can also use a blender, it's okay. I have an Italian cold press juicer called Siquri. Have a nice day!

I just invited a bunch of friends to like your blog. I think it is the best! I have made your simple vegan butter several times, and I feel so liberated from store-bought, plastic encased, palm-oil containing alternatives. Thank you for all the effort you put into this. You are changing lives!

I love this juice! The first time i tried it, it hurt my throat a bit because of the lemon. So the second time i added a bit of honey and it tasted even better i think!

    Hello,

Do you peel the lemon before blending/juicing?

Hi Christina! It depends on your taste, I'd add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp, but you should add it gently 🙂

Love your site! I also make my own hummus and couldn't live without my Vitamix. I want to buy a Vitamix for my son who lives in Poland and also my other son who lives in the UK. Did you have to order a special adapter for your Vitamix? I've blown so many American appliances in Europe by not understanding the electrical outlet use. Can you offer any advice. Does Vitamix offer a special product for European use? Thanks!

Thanks a lot Louann! Vitamix offer special products for Europe, I don't have to use a special adapter, just buy the Vitamix in a European store (I love Amazon!). Have a nice day!
