    How to make vegan jello

    • Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and stir until well combined.
    • Bring to a boil and stir frequently.
    • Allow it to boil for 2 minutes.
    • Pour the jello mixture into individual serving bowls or glasses.
    • Refrigerate to set. It will take up to 2 hours to completely cool.
    • Serve your vegan jello immediately.

    Ingredients and tips

    • Fruit juice: any type of fruit juice will do. You could also use half the amount of fruit juice, and half the amount of water.
    • Agar powder: I’ve only tried this recipe with agar powder, not with agar flakes. If agar flakes are all you can find at your grocery store, follow the package instructions to know the amount of them you need for 2 cups of liquid (480 ml).
    • Granulated sugar: sugar is optional, especially if you’re using only juice and not water. However, it tastes better if you add some sugar. Any type of sugar will do.

    Is jello vegan?

No, the original one is not vegan, as it is made with animal-derived products. This plant-based version is equally delicious though!
