Blueberry compote ingredients and tips
- Blueberries: feel free to use fresh or frozen blueberries. You could also use other types of berries or even other fruits instead, but in that case, you may need to adjust the amount of juice.
- Orange juice: you could also use lemon juice or even water.
- Granulated or brown sugar: this ingredient is optional, but I think the compote tastes better with it. Feel free to use any type of sugar.
- Zest of one orange: this is also optional, but it will make your compote taste amazing. Lemon juice is also a good choice.
- Blueberry compote is so versatile you can actually serve with plenty of different recipes. For example, you can serve it over your chia pudding or your soy yogurt, and top your vegan donuts and your vegan French toast with it.
