Pineapple salsa, a refreshing, tropical and delicious dish. It’s so easy to make, ready in 5 minutes and you’ll only need 8 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple (165 g), diced
  • ½ red bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ red onion, chopped
  • 1 fresh jalapeño, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Serve immediately with tacos, burritos or even with tortilla chips. You can also eat it with crudités, bread or use it as a salad dressing or side dish.
  3. Keep the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Notes

  • Feel free to use other veggies, fruit or ingredients, and to add more or less of them depending on how you like your salsa.
  • Omit the jalapeño if you don’t like it. I used fresh jalapeño but you can also use the canned ones (in that case, take a look at the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t have any additives). Another good option is using chili pepper or any other kind of chili. 
  • Lime juice can be replaced with lemon juice and cilantro can be substituted for parsley or some other herb.
