Homemade apple cider is my favorite fall drink. It’s perfect for rainy and cold days, especially if you stay at home watching movies or reading a book.

Ingredients

  • 2 green apples
  • 2 red apples
  • 2 yellow apples
  • 1 orange
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup maple syrup (160 g)
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 12 cups water (3 liters)

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and the orange and cut them into quarters.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a large pot and when bring water to a boil. Then reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 1 or 2 hours. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will meld together.
  3. Strain out the apple cider juice into a clean pot.
  4. Serve hot.
