Time is not an excuse to skip breakfast, you can make a simple recipe the day before or just get up 5 or 10 minutes earlier to prepare yourself a delicious quick meal. Another alternative is to eat a banana, some dates or any other fruit and then eat your breakfast on the go.
Breakfast in Spain is quite different. It’s not an important meal, so many people just have a cup of coffee and some toasts or bread with jam, extra virgin olive oil or something like that. I used to prefer savory food in the morning when I wasn’t vegan, but now I prefer to eat something sweet, that’s why there will be less savory recipes in this series, but don’t worry, we’ll also share a couple of alternatives.I always start my day drinking two cups of water and another cup with warm water and the juice of half a lemon (if the lemon is small, I add the juice of the whole lemon). Then, when I’m hungry, I have my breakfast, which is usually a green smoothie or a bowl of oatmeal (90% of the times). I work at home, so I can have my breakfast when I want. I know most of you don’t, but try to drink at least one glass of water when you wake up and drink at least 1.5 to 2 liters of water per day (50 to 68 ounces). Drinking enough water is really important to stay healthy and there are some apps that can help you to get your goals. Another thing you can do is to bring a bottle of water with you all the time, so you won’t forget to drink.
It’s so IMPORTANT you eat until you’re full. You don’t need to starve yourself to be healthy or to lose some weight, just eat healthy food.
