These baked onion rings are the perfect vegan and gluten-free appetizer. They are so crispy and delicious and they also taste amazing!

Ingredients

  • 2 onions
  • 1/4 cup water (125 ml)
  • 1 cup chickpea flour (120 g)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne powder
  • 6 tbsp vegan Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 390 º F or 200 º C.
  2. Peel the onion and slice them.
  3. Mix the water and 1/4 cup (30 g) chickpea flour in a bowl. Mix 3/4 cup chickpea flour (90 g) with the rest of the ingredients in another bowl.
  4. Submerge the onion rings in the water+flour mixture and then in the other mixture.
  5. Bake them on a baking sheet with baking paper for 20 or 25 minutes.
