Fat free vegan cheese sauce - Everybody loves vegan cheeses, so we want to share with you this fat-free vegan cheese sauce, which is inspired in our popular vegan cheese recipe.

I used to love cheese before I become a vegan and I don't miss it at all because there are many delicious alternatives that are healthier and cruelty-free, everybody wins!

We know you also love vegan cheeses, that's why we want to share with you this fat-free vegan cheese sauce, which is inspired in our vegan cheese that is one of our most popular recipes. As we're following a low-fat vegan diet, we're making low-fat or fat-free versions of our recipes and they taste amazing!

You can eat this cheese as a dip with tortilla chips or crudités, use it to make creamy fat-free vegan mac and cheese recipes, risotto or any cheesy dish you like. We use it all the time to make mac and cheese and also add some steamed veggies to get a tastier and more nutritious recipe.

Everybody loves this cheese, even the non-vegans! Our family and friends love it so much. ? If you're searching for non-dairy alternatives, you definitely need to try this cheese, it won't disappoint you!

    Tips:

    • Add your favorite unsweetened plant milk instead of the water for a creamier cheese.
    • If you don't eat soy, add some sea salt. If the cheese is too thick, add more water or lemon juice.
    • Feel free to add onion powder, chili powder, black pepper or other herbs or spices.

I just made this cheese sauce. I quadrupled the recipe and added a little cayenne powder. At present, I am using it as a salad dressing and chili topping. The uses for it are endless, and it's so creamy and healthy!

Delicious. For health reasons I have had to keep my fat intake very low and have missed mac and cheese. Making beefish-mac with this right now!

Um, yum! I can’t eat garlic (sad, I know) so omitted it. I added cumin and used unsweetened coconut milk to make it creamy. So good!

Texture was wonderful. I used half the amount of garlic powder called for in the recipe, and I felt it still overpowered the recipe. I will be making this again but without the garlic powder.

Hi Shirley! You could use brewer's yeast instead of even some beer instead of the water 🙂

Without a doubt the best low fat vegan cheese sauce ever! I agree that you can just eat it in spoonfuls. I made it exactly as is but with slightly less soy to reduce salt content. The soy +yeast flakes is magic. Thanks for the recipe.

I haven't made this yet but I'm not understanding how much is in 1 cups potatoes and 1 cup of carrots. How small should they be cut?

Hi Melissa! You can use a scale to measure the exact amount in grams, or just chop it in cubes and use a cup 🙂

Love it. I took down the yeast a touch and replaced one potato for one parsnip and I liked it just as well

Definitely flavourful and tasty, although it seems to taste a little more like soy sauce than cheese sauce. It isn't overwhelming anything, just an underlying flavour, but I suppose that could be due to using Bragg's instead of soy sauce. Still absolutely delicious!

Hi Sarah! It should taste like cheese sauce if you use tamari or regular soy sauce. I'm glad you liked it!
