Chili powder, a simple and easy blend that will make all your savory dishes be something else. It only requires 6 ingredients and just 5 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Use it in dishes like vegan chili, Buffalo cauliflower wings, or even vegan Sloppy Joes.  
  3. Store in a sealed container in a dark, cool place for up to 1 year.

Notes

  • Feel free to add or omit any spices or herbs you don’t like.
  • Some people also add salt to the mix.
  • Add more or less cayenne pepper depending on how spicy you like your chili powder.
  • I prefer to use regular or sweet paprika, as I think smoked paprika has a really strong flavor and hot paprika makes the mix too spicy for me, but that’s up to you.
  • You could only add garlic powder (in that case double the amount), but I like to add onion powder as well.
