Baked chips, crispy, flavorful, and healthier than the store-bought ones. They are free from additives and preservatives and require only 3 ingredients!
1 pound potatoes (450 g) or 2 potatoes (I used Yukon gold)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
Preheat the oven to 400ºF or 200ºC and line a baking sheet.
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Using a mandolin or a sharp knife, thinly slice the potatoes into 1/16-inch-thick pieces (about 1.5 mm).
Pat the potatoes dry to remove the excess moisture.
Add the potatoes to a mixing bowl along with the oil, and mix until well combined.
Place the potatoes in a single layer onto the lined baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven, turn each chip and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and appear crunchy. Keep an eye on the potatoes to make sure they don’t brown and overcook.
Sprinkle the baked chips with salt to taste and let them cool for at least 5 min.
